Medication refills: There are certain medications I do not prescribe because of potential side effects and/or the risks outweigh the benefits. These medications include: weight loss medication, chronic (daily) benzodiazepine (i.e. valium, Xanax, Ativan, etc.), hormone replacement therapy for more than 1-2 years after menopause, chronic narcotic pain medications (i.e. Vicodin, Percocet, etc.).
Chronic Pain Management: I do not prescribe narcotic medications for chronic pain. I can assist in finding a pain management specialist to address chronic pain concerns.
General Medicine: I provide comprehensive preventative medicine physicals as well as management of hypertension, diabetes and other chronic conditions.
Hospital Care: Like many other primary care physicians, I no longer see patients at the hospitals. I coordinate care with the hospitalist physicians and other specialists after hospitalization. I provide preoperative clearance for surgeries.
Immunizations: I am a strong believer in immunizations and provide all recommended pediatric and adult immunizations.
Obstetrics/Gynecology: I provide preconception counseling, pap testing, annual exams and birth control services.
Occupational Health: I am a registered medical examiner for NRCME and provide medical fitness for duty examinations for commercial motor vehicle drivers. (DOT, LYFT and UBER examinations).
Pediatrics: I provide preventative well child exams from 2 weeks to 18 years. I see children for sick child appointments, sports and school physicals as well.
In Office Surgery: I can take care of minor lacerations, removal of warts and other skin lesions.
If there is a service I cannot provide, I will assist in directing you to the appropriate specialist.
